About the event
Formula 1 has never raced in Madrid. Not once. The last Grand Prix anywhere near the city was Jarama in 1981, forty-five years ago.
On Sunday 13 September the Spanish Grand Prix runs on the Madring — a brand new 22-corner circuit cut through IFEMA and the streets around it. At its centre is La Monumental: a 550-metre banked corner, 24 degrees of camber, ten metres high, wrapped in 45,000 seats. No driver on the grid has ever taken it.
No team has data. No driver has raced here. Carlos Sainz, born in Madrid, is the circuit's ambassador and the only man on the grid who knows it. Lewis Hamilton sits third in the championship, chasing a result.
We are screening it live. Big screens, full sound, and a room that actually reacts.
Lights out 6:00 PM PKT. Arrive early — seating is limited.
